BNCI, a major bank at your service around the world
“A major bank at your service around the world.” With this signature, the Banque Nationale pour le Commerce et l’Industrie (BNCI) promotes its international influence. Starting in the 1940s, it set out to expand its network beyond France, by taking control of the Banque de l’Union Nord-Africaine, renamed BNCI-Afrique. It also developed its presence in sub-Saharan Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Congo, Cameroon, etc.). Next the bank set up in Asia during the period 1947-1958, in South America in 1949 and in the Middle East in 1955 (Lebanon, Syria and Iraq).
